Books & Bibliographies
This Section grew both out of friends' requests for tips on a few of my pet areas and out of my own love of books. Way before I could even dream of writing a book, I'd spend hours and hours browsing in bookstores--not rarely leaving with a big package under my arms. I'd easily forget about the world outside;)...

Nowadays, I hardly have time to drive to a bookstore...let alone delight myself as in those good ol' days. Luckily, I can do it on-line, taking shorter trips, and at my own convenience! This Section is my own book portal, which I'm happy to share with you.

If you're familiar with my old Book & Bibliography Section, you'll be missing some of the usual listings + comments that used to be part of one of my now-gone Mie's NetScope home pages.

Yes, in case you haven't read this elsewhere, I've merged into the www.MieNet.net URL the handful of personal sites I used to have around the Web. And in this process, a few sections have required special reformatting + updating, the present sectaion being one of those.

I've been re-editing this section and will be placing back on-line all the old bibliographical listings + comments that were part of the one Mie's NetScope that my Book Section belonged to, in addition to updating and adding to the old stuff. Look around and I bet you'll notice the difference:)...

All in all, you can count on being able to access here all the old references and related comments + some new stuff.

Just in case you have come by now for something that you have not been able to locate, you're very welcome to e-mail me for it, and I'll be happy to provide you whatever has not been placed back on line yet. But please first use the search, below: some files have changed names and directories, but are on-line just the same.

On the page we're at, you can enjoy browsing through a general listing that ranges from sheer entertainment to more technical and/or academic bibliographical references, as well as itemize references to the different reviews, comments and illustrations that are currently available on MieNet.

Moreover, you can now profit from the addition of two other Search Boxes (as compared to the old Mie's NetScope), if you have a specific title or topic in mind, beyond the ones that you find here. (All Search Boxes are the bottom of the page.)

Whether or not you, too, are pleasantly addicted to books and reading, if this is your first time at MieNet's Bibliographical Section, let me assure you that all sites that I link to are sites that I use, myself. They are all pleasant to visit, user-friendly and reliable. As I've mentioned above, this page is my own book portal.

I have so far been very pleased, every time that I have ordered one (or more) title(s) on-line. I can only say, thus far, that I have enjoyed quality service. If I should ever have a complaint about any of the on-line bookstores that I link to and use, I'll simply remove all links from MieNet and will of course stop browsing and shopping there, as well! In other words, you can relax and enjoy browsing to your heart's content:).

And, let me remind you, browsing is just as free as delightful and enriching!:)... So, enjoy what your time allows you.

Last, but certainly not least, let me briefly share about a lovely discovery: eBooks!
Having been a bookworm all my life, I have walls and walls of bookshelves...many of which I have had to leave behind, because of my moving around the world (of course I hope to gather my entire library again in one place, but I certainly miss books and dictionaries that I cannot have with me now).

Well, eBooks are a marvelous invention: they take hardly any space, can easily be carried anywhere, can be printed out (when I want to read out of a page), cost a lot less, and require no delivery time – they are downloadable any time I want one!:) Have you ever tried an eBook?

Check MieNet's eBooks Section! You'll be surprised at the variety of topics that are available in digital form! And more: I've started producing my own eBooks (I found a great software for this – see here). Take a look at my first self-produced eBook here and, if you like it, you can download it for free (you'll find links to download both the eBook and the free reader).

In addition to this one eBook, I bet you'll be happy to check a Web site that I've grown quite fond of: . , you find the best range of electronic books online: an enormous and growing list of downloadable books in over 40 categories! And more: you can get some free eBooks there, too!

Finally, once you're through enjoying these pages, why not check my Education Pages, too? There, you can not only browse through all sorts of interesting links leading to a large variety of on-line education possibilities (it's amazing what we can do on-line nowadays!), but also read a curious related real-life tale which I share.
