Welcome to MieNet's 2002 Season F1fan-eBook!
Though the idea of making an eBook for the 2002 Season emerged rather unexpectedly (you can read about it here), I'm certainly happy to share with racing fans part of my personal database.
This being a personal database, collected in the most various ways possible (print + broadcast media, the Web, and personal contacts), it is important to make it clear from the start that this eBook contains no official results, news, or statements of whatever sort. Nonetheless, and despite a number of discrepancies that can be found (more especially on the Web), I try to be as accurate as possible with every bit of data I gather for my own keeping, some of which I now share with you.
In other words, you should be able to derive from this eBook an image pretty close to what we might call "reality." On the other hand, should you notice that a detail or another that you come across in this eBook is not totally accurate, I'll of course appreciate that you take a minute to let me have the more accurate information (and source, if possible, as it may hold a clue on how the information should be interpreted).
I hope you have a pleasant time browsing MieNet's 2002 Season F1fan-eBook, and recalling your favorite moments of the championship. If, on the one hand, some may have argued that this was a monotonous Season, on the other hand, we were privileged to witness one of the most remarkable periods in the history of Ferrari -- and why not Formula One, itself?
Moreover, plenty of excitement and great competition -- which we, fans, always look forward to -- have abounded amid those fighting for places other than the top step on the podium. This eBook can help you recall these moments, too.
All in all, 2002 was a Season worth recording and recalling. Life must be lived forwards, but it can only be understood backwards, wrote the Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard. So, whenever we reach the needed distance for an enlightening look backwards, the current eBook should also come in handy. For though perspectives may just as well get distorted as they fade in time, what has been kept on a page will not.
A handy piece of memorabilia, this eBook may just as well prove useful during the coming racing Seasons:
among the drivers, teams, racing tracks, motor, tire and oil suppliers, and so forth, comprising the 2002 Season, a good majority will be taking part in the 2003 and other Seasons, too.
Though I retain the copyright, MieNet's 2002 Season F1fan-eBook is yours for free, if you'd like to have it. There is no charge whatsoever, nor any clever gimmick lurking anywhere to surprise you later. It's just this simple: from a fan to another, with best regards.
Accordingly, this eBook must not be sold. But you may share it freely with friends, as much as you wish. All you are requested is that you share the eBook in its original zip file (the one you have downloaded). The same applies to MieNet's Motor Racing Icon Library, accessible here.
